Thrill 12.39 - Javelin - 2
Limited to 500 copies worldwide!
Each 12" comes in a vintage custom screen-printed LP jacket.
Javelin makes music ranging from broken dance jams to relaxed instrumental cut-ups, created with love on their MPCs. Long forgotten samples are chopped and re-assembled with drums, wooden recorders, old keyboards, handmade thumb pianos or whatever instruments are readily at hand. The result is a kind of mix-tape-fantasy (residing in the mythical “dollar bins of the future”), where R & B impresarios, amateur booty bass producers and Andean flautists hold equal sway.
* Javelin - 2SOLD OUT the week of it's release, the only copies we have left are reserved for the 12" Singles Club - Don't miss out on this one!
Thrill 239 - Double Dagger - Masks

LP is available in three different "Mask" covers, with custion die-cut "eyes".
The LP also includes a color-printed LP sleeve, which changes the color of the eyes depending on the orientation of the sleeve.
Each edition is limited to 500 copies.
Double Dagger’s new EP, Masks, continues in this vein, taking up where More left off. Masks presents a series of vignettes, ranging from acerbic to facetious to self-reflective, on the facades we build within our lives. Masks contains some of Double Dagger’s most catchy songs to date, yet characteristically the tone of the album encompasses the abrasive and sarcastic as well as the upbeat and closes with a surprisingly delicate instrumental. The EP was recorded by the band using a necessarily DIY setup, and like More, manages to capture the loudness and energy of Double Dagger’s explosive live performances.
Double Dagger embodies the contradictions of the fair-yet-blighted city they call home—visceral, raw, cacophonously loud, yet with unexpected moments of clarity, humor, and revelation. Live, Double Dagger’s stripped- down musical line-up, consisting solely of bass, drums, and vocals, somehow manages to sound like a stage-full of musicians. Drummer Denny Bowen hammers the drums with such force that bassist Bruce Willen must employ four amps to match his volume. Singer Nolen Strals wades into, out of, and sometimes on top of the audience, channeling a dynamic energy that often has the three musicians dripping with sweat by the second song.
Thrill 12.41 - Future Islands - In The Fall

In The Fall is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide.
The LP is pressed on 150 gram translucent blue vinyl packaged in a full color LP jacket.
All four songs on In The Fall are exclusive to this release including an extended version of the song "Tin Man".
The EP’s title track “In The Fall” features Katrina Ford from the band Celebration.
J Gerrit Welmers, William Cashion and Samuel T Herring have been making music together since 2003, and as Future Islands since 2006, putting in the work. Formed as college friends in Greenville, NC, Future Islands relocated to Baltimore after becoming friends with Dan Deacon, an early and avid supporter of the band. They’ve released a handful of CD-Rs, tapes and limited vinyl releases, and their debut album Wave Like Home came out on UK label Upset the Rhythm in 2008. They’ve toured extensively in the US and Europe, including the Baltimore Round Robin tours and opening for and performing in Dan Deacon’s large ensemble.
Future Islands’ music is spearheaded by Welmers, whose layers of synths and drums create the landscape for Cashion’s punching-strum bass guitar, that pulses and fights, creating noise and bliss. Herring, who has been called “one of the most magnetic frontmen in indie rock,” finds his space in between. Carving through the music, at times, with a whispering croon, and at others, with a deathly wail.
Thrill 12.40 - Jason Urick - Fussing & Fighting
This vinyl only EP is limited to 500 copies worldwide
The LP is presented with a 10” x 6” high-gloss photo print hand-pasted to the LP jacket front
(250 white jackets, 250 black jackets)
Unlike Husbands’ gentle washes of ambience, the songs on Fussing & Fighting are Urick’s first in a very long time to incorporate any sort of rhythmic element, however simple. This time Urick made a conscious effort to slowly steer away from the experiments with density on display on Husbands, opening up his music sonically and allowing things to breathe. As with Husbands, all three of the original tracks were recorded by Urick himself at Floristree.
The fourth and final piece on Fussing & Fighting is Matthew Papich of Ecstatic Sunshine’s take on the title track, recorded with engineer Craig Bowen.

Markus Popp is back!
The 12" is still being mastered but at this writing there were 22 tracks from the acknowledged electronic pioneer. When Popp first toured- he toured with a desk top computer and confused audiences across the globe. It was 1994. His albums became the blue print for an entire generation of electronic musicians. He did not stop there- he made musical sculptures that could be manipulated to create music that were shown and the Pompidou in Paris as well as in galleries across America. They came SO and the So Fi Pa. Pop not only reinvented himself but he designed and built a collapsible and portable pa system. Then the restless Popp got into video games and making and programming music for Japanese games. Now 9 years after the last Oval record he is bank under that Moniker with all new programs and a striking new sound.
