What’s Around The Corner? More Corners

Great Pop Supplement
GPS47 - 2009

following a pair of fabulous releases on blackest rainbow, camberwell based jack allett aka spoono unleashes his debut 45.. 2 stunning solo guitar pieces that initially bring to mind say, james blackshaw but descend into some backwards recorded, eastern fuelled drone finale. over 12 minutes over what we believe to be 2 epic sides of wax.... cool tri fold sleeves with tracing paper inserts, hand numbered to just 300 copies.

single of the week at norman records, here's a snip form their review:

What's Around the Corner? More Corners' is a more trippy, freeform piece that begins ambling along like an incredibly happy dog, the chirpy, twangy acoustic guitar being massively soulful & chatty, whilst an old wibbly keyboard gives the impression of some eccentric travelling band strolling down a kaleidoscopic country lane, hazy in the sunshine, then the locals come out clapping and then they realise they have an entire village caught up in their spell, following them, arms raised ecstatically, pied piper-like, spellbound by the delirious sonic fallout!
